Tom is an award-winning composer and writer from Ireland, now based in London.

His musical The Queen is Mad ran at Edinburgh Fringe 2025, where it received a Special Commendationaward from Musical Theatre Review and sold out for a week. It featured West End stars Maria Coyne (Wicked, The King & I) and Robert Finlayson (Phantom of the Opera). The show has been featured twice by Elaine Paige on BBC Radio 2, and was named as one of Elaine’s EdFringe Picks for 2025. Last year, the show’s lead single “Locked Away” was a finalist for the Stiles + Drewe Best New Song Prize, and was performed in a London concert by Natalie Paris (SIX, Strictly Come Dancing).

Tom wrote the show with collaborator Amy Clare Tasker. Together, the pair are currently developing their second musical, RISING, which reimagines the 1916 Dublin rebellion through the inner life of Patrick Pearse. A concert reading of the show is taking place in the Hammersmith Irish Cultural Centre this April, to coincide with the 110th anniversary of the Rising.

Independently, Tom has composed for BBC Radio 4 with Daddy’s Superyacht Productions. His musicals have been performed in the Lion and Unicorn Theatre (London), Smock Alley Theatre (Dublin) and on Irish national radio (RTÉ Lyric FM).

In 2008, Tom was awarded the Peadar Ó Cillín medal for first place nationally in the Irish Leaving Certificate music examination.
He has an M.Phil in contemporary composition from Trinity College Dublin, and a diploma in piano performance from the Royal Irish Academy of Music. He is a member of Mercury Musical Developments and the Book, Music & Lyrics workshop.
